Often people ask about the way I work and what equipment I use.
My camera equipment is a Canon 1Ds Mark III, with a 24-70mm f2.8 and a Prime 85mm f1.2. Those are basically the only lenses I use.
For studio equipment I use Elinchrom light equipment. 90% of the time I use a beautydish both in the studio as well as on location. I also play around with some softboxes, reflectors & grids, depending on what results I want to become.
On location I always have my California Sunbounce reflectors at hand, I use the pro reflectors and a sunswatter for the hard sunlight. For lightning on location I prefer to work with the Elinchrom Quadra Ranger, it’s standard reflectors, my beautydish mounted on it with a mounting piece and the ring flash for the Quadra ranger. Sometimes I use the Canon 530EX flashes off camera as well.
How I use them? That depends on the situation, I try to be creative with my light and experiment a lot. Trying not to get stuck in a certain way or pattern is important I think. Every shoot I try to have a clear head and start from zero so my results are different each time.
